Today’s Behind the Community is a special interview with Staff Sergeant Daniel Barnes, USA, Retired, the 2019 Chamber’s Veteran of the Year. The City of Waynesville nominated Barnes last year but because the parade was canceled, due to inclement weather, he is being recognized this year. Barnes and Chamber Director Cecilia Murray discuss his involvement in the community; and the importance of being thankful for what you have rather than what you have lost.
